There are many grants available to customers. Grants are funded via the Government and the Utility companies. All of the utility companies have been set the task to reduce carbon emissions in homes by 2011. One of the ways they are doing this is by providing funding towards insulation. Everyone is entitled to these grants, please see below the qualifying criteria.

• The customer must own their home or rent from a private landlord.
• If the customer is a private tenant, the landlord must grant full permission for any work to be carried out.
• The customer must be able to prove they are a resident of the property.

Priority Group - 100% Grant Available

Householder must be in receipt of one of the following:

• Council tax benefit
• Housing benefit
• Income support
• Income-based job seekers allowance
• Attendance allowance
• Disability living allowance
• War disablement pension which includes either a mobility supplement or Constant attendance allowance
• Disablement pension which includes Constant Attendance Allowance
• State pension credit

OR

• Child tax credit where the relevant income is £16,040 or less
• Working tax credit where the relevant income is £16,040 or less

Priority Group - Over 70’s

All people over the age of 70 qualify to get both Cavity Wall Insulation and Loft Insulation free.

Everyone Else

People who are not on any of the qualifying benefits can apply to get 75% grants towards getting their properties insulated. Prices for Cavity wall insulation and Loft insulation start at £149.
